Persimmon Homes North Scotland’s Greenlaw Park on the edge of Carnoustie is close to completion after reshaping a former site into a new Angus community supported by jobs, apprenticeships and affordable housing.
The large-scale housing project is entering its final phase, with only a small number of properties still available.
On completion, the development will comprise 236 homes and deliver significant investment in local services and the wider Angus economy.
The build includes 145 properties by Persimmon Homes, 42 by sister brand Charles Church, and 49 homes transferred to Sanctuary Scotland to address local housing need.
As part of the scheme, £1.1 million has been invested in local primary education to support schools serving Carnoustie and neighbouring areas.
Construction has generated 96 direct jobs and a further 73 roles across the supply chain, providing a sustained boost to the local economy.
Eight apprentices from Dundee and Angus College have been employed on site, gaining practical experience alongside their college training through structured apprenticeship programmes.
Community support has been channelled through Persimmon's Community Champions initiative, with funding awarded to the Angus Toy Appeal and Burnside Primary School.
James MacKay, Regional Managing Director, said: "This has been a major long-term development for Carnoustie and we are very proud of what has been achieved at Greenlaw Park.
"As well as delivering high-quality, energy-efficient homes, the scheme has brought significant investment into the local area, supported apprenticeships and created a lasting community legacy in Angus. As we reach completion, it stands as a strong example of how housebuilding can deliver wide-ranging benefits."
