SSEN Transmission and local contractors have donated nearly 1,800 chocolate eggs to community groups and organisations across the north-east of Scotland this Easter.
The drive was coordinated by teams working on the Netherton Hub and Eastern Green Link 2 (EGL2) projects, providing support to local charities, schools and community organisations during the holiday period.
In Peterhead, EGL2 contractor BAM UK & Ireland backed a community Easter bunny hunt organised by local charity the Buchan Giving Tree, with 26 shops and businesses hiding bunnies on their premises.
Children were encouraged to find the bunnies and record their names before returning entries to the charity. Participants received Easter eggs donated by BAM UK & Ireland, with cinema vouchers awarded to the quickest bunny spotters.
Netherton Hub contractor Balfour Beatty also coordinated an Easter egg collection for donation to a range of local causes. Beneficiaries included Dales Primary School in Peterhead, St John's Parish Church in Longside, and Aberdeen-based charities Charlie House and The Archie Foundation.
Gillian Doig, SSEN Transmission's Community Liaison Manager for the Netherton Hub and EGL2 projects, said: "It's been great to see our teams and contractors getting into the Easter spirit and working together to deliver some joy to local groups and organisations across the north-east.
"Whether it's a bunny hunt or a simple chocolate egg, it's a nice way to give something back to the communities hosting our projects."
Kelly Simms, Balfour Beatty Social Impact Manager for the Netherton Hub, said: "Balfour Beatty is proud to support the communities in which we operate, and it's great to see our teams coming together to make a positive difference locally."
