Clyde Valley Housing Association (CVHA) has been awarded £1.48 million from the Scottish Government to fund a significant programme of window and door replacements.
The project will benefit 249 properties located in Airdrie, Hamilton, and Motherwell.
Investing in Net Zero
The grant, provided through the Scottish Government's Social Housing Net Zero Heat Fund, will support a total investment programme exceeding £3 million. The upgrades involve the installation of high-performance triple-glazed windows and modern insulated doors.
CVHA has appointed Sidey Solutions Ltd to carry out the works. The installation phase is scheduled to begin in January 2026 and is expected to continue until July 2026.
The Social Housing Net Zero Heat Fund is designed to assist registered social landlords in decarbonising their housing portfolios. By implementing clean heating and energy efficiency measures, the fund aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat fuel poverty, supporting Scotland's national target of reaching net zero by 2045.
The project is expected to deliver a range of practical benefits for residents, including:
• Significant reductions in heat loss and lower carbon emissions.
• Reduced energy bills and warmer living environments.
• Enhanced home security and improved soundproofing.
Sinclair Young, Director of Property and Development at Clyde Valley Housing Association, said: "This investment represents a major step forward in improving the quality, comfort and energy efficiency of our homes. Securing £1.48 million from the Scottish Government allows us to deliver a £3 million programme that will make a real difference for our customers, helping to keep homes warmer, reduce energy bills and support Scotland's transition to net zero. We're pleased to be working with Sidey Solutions Ltd to deliver these important upgrades across Airdrie, Hamilton and Motherwell."
Clyde Valley Housing Association stated that it remains focused on delivering improvements that benefit customers while continuing its transition toward Net Zero.
