Construction company CCG has secured a significant victory at the Glasgow Institute of Architects (GIA) Design Awards, the largest Chapter in the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS).
Two of the company's projects jointly won the Large Residential Award at the ceremony, which recognises excellence in architecture by Chapter members since 1979.
The two successful residential developments were:
-Water Row for Govan Housing Group, a mixed-use project comprising 92, two-bedroom apartments and six commercial premises.
-Maltings Wynd for igloo Regeneration, a 78-home development.
Both developments had already achieved multiple architectural and residential accolades earlier in 2025, making it unsurprising that they were virtually tied to share one of the three portions of the award.
The Water Row scheme, designed by Collective Architecture, is a flagship residential project within the wider 'Water Row' Masterplan, located next to the pioneering Govan-Partick Bridge. This GIA Award marks the seventh recognition secured by the development this calendar year.
The second winning project, Maltings Wynd, was designed by Stallan-Brand and Ann Nisbet Studio. This is the second of two residential phases delivered by CCG at the Dundashill Regeneration site in north Glasgow. The development is notable for its construction, featuring a mix of contemporary three- and four-bedroom townhouses, and has been cited as one of the most sustainable private housing developments ever launched in the city. The Maltings Wynd project has also secured seven awards in 2025.
The shared victory underscores CCG’s commitment to delivering high-quality, architecturally distinguished, and sustainable construction projects within Glasgow's housing sector.
