Previously unused land in Bonhill is being revived through West Dunbartonshire Council's latest housebuilding programme with CCG (Scotland).
Work is under way on 28 new 'net zero ready' affordable homes across Braehead and Campbell Street, to the south-east of Alexandria town centre.
Across both locations, the plans include properties designed for wheelchair users alongside a mix of one- to seven-bedroom homes to support larger families.
Convenor of Housing and Communities, Councillor Gurpreet Singh Johal, said: "There has been a significant amount of work undertaken to get to this stage, and it is great to see the houses starting to take shape. The range of homes is extensive and will suit a variety of tenants."
Braehead and Campbell Street are the latest in a series of projects delivered by CCG on behalf of West Dunbartonshire Council, bringing the total to 10 developments, 451 homes and over £100m in investment since 2018.
Both schemes were directly awarded via the SPA H2 Framework and adopt CCG's 'Net Zero Home' build standard, first used at the award-winning Clydebank East and later at the part–net zero, part-Passivhaus Pappert project. Each home will feature enhanced thermal performance through CCG's iQ Timber System and triple-glazed PVCu windows, alongside zero-emissions heating technologies and solar PV panels.
