Four projects constructed or led by CCG have been announced as finalists for this year's Scottish Design Awards, one of Scotland's most prestigious and long-standing award programmes. Established in 1998, the awards celebrate exceptional design and talent from the architectural, creative, and design sectors, with this year's ceremony scheduled for June 25th.
In the Regeneration and Masterplanning category, two CCG-constructed developments are vying for the top prize. Chestnut Street, a 306-home development in Granton Harbour built for Harbour Homes with architectural consultancy by Hackland + Dore, is a finalist. It will compete against Water Row, a 92-home development for Govan Housing Group, designed by Collective Architecture, which represents the first phase of a large-scale mixed-use masterplan in Govan, south Glasgow.
Water Row has also secured a second nomination in the Affordable Housing category. It is joined in this category by Dundashill Platform 3, Scotland's largest Passivhaus development. CCG completed this project for West of Scotland Housing Association, with Collective Architecture also responsible for its design.
Dundashill Platform 3 is one of two phases of residential development led by CCG at the Dundashill Regeneration Masterplan. The second phase, 'Maltings Wynd', a project comprising 78 homes for sale for client igloo Regeneration, has been recognised in the Residential (Multi-Unit) category. The design for Maltings Wynd was a collaboration between Stallan Brand and Ann Nisbet Studio.
