Procast Group Secures Five-Year Framework With Loreburn HA

Procast Group has been awarded a five-year framework agreement by Loreburn Housing Association.

A significant milestone for the business, the framework place was secured through the Procurement for Housing Scotland (EESSH) 2 Framework and will be supported with individual contracts.

It will allow Procast Group to deliver important retrofit projects and substantial energy efficient work programmes across Dumfries and Galloway helping improve the quality and efficiency of the housing association stock over the coming years.

The agreement between Dumfries & Galloway based Loreburn and Procast Group will run for two years, with the option of an additional year and the further possibility of two additional years, with a maximum of five years.

Procast Group will be required to carry out works as requested, including the provision of retrofit assessments, post-work assessments such as Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), design responsibilities, assisting the planning of future works and programmes, provide tenant liaison services for all contracts and secure funding for works where possible.

The confirmation of the framework comes just as Procast Group won Insulation & Fabric Contractor of the Year for the sixth year in a row and received a Highly Commended in the Regional Large-Scale Project of the Year, as did Development Manager, David Chapman, in the Business Development Manager of the Year award at the recent Scotland Energy Efficiency Awards.

At the same awards, Loreburn HA took home a Highly Commended award for Regional Housing Association/Social Landlord of the Year.

Development Manager at Procast Group, David Chapman, said: "We have been working with Loreburn Housing Association for some time now and are delighted to have shown our worth in that time, sharing a people-centric approach to what we do. Meeting the criteria for these frameworks is incredibly stringent, and we are incredibly proud to have achieved and exceeded all that was required and more to secure a place for the next five years.

"Loreburn Housing Association share our goal of increasing the energy efficiency of all the existing housing stock, working together towards the best ways to eradicate fuel poverty, making life more comfortable for people, and improving their financial wellbeing.

"We pride ourselves on working with the recommendations of The Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing (EESSH) and our contribution to the Scottish Government's Net Zero goals. Forward thinking and proactive Housing Associations and government policy is a win-win for the tenants of today and tomorrow."

Stuart Mackay, Head of Investment & Sustainability at Loreburn added: "Loreburn is pleased to partner with Procast to boost energy efficiency across our housing stock and improve conditions for our tenants. Together, we can make a meaningful impact to making homes warmer and more affordable for tenants."
