Kilmartin Museum is preparing to reopen this summer following a multi-million pound transformation.
Approximately £7 million was invested in the project, with the facility remaining closed throughout the refurbishments.
Argyll and Bute Council is supporting the project led by the Kilmartin Museum Company with £400,000 of funding to help with the redevelopment.
Speaking during a recent visit, Councillor Alastair Redman, Policy Lead for Economic Growth and Communities said: "Kilmartin Glen and Museum are incredibly important to Argyll and Bute and the wider area attracting visitors from all over the world. The transformation is quite staggering and I want to congratulate everyone involved in creating a superb visitor attraction for Argyll and Bute.
"We're pleased to support this charity-led project and can't wait for the state-of-the-art museum to showcase some of the most important archaeological artefacts found in Argyll. It's a great boost to the local economy."
