Marking Scottish Apprenticeships Week, McLaughlin & Harvey have hosted an Apprentice Breakfast at their King's Buildings Nucleus project at the University of Edinburgh.

The project is being delivered through the Scape Major Works Framework.

The Nucleus is a new learning and teaching facility in the heart of the King's Buildings Campus. The four-storey building will create a vibrant, purpose-built hub with space for teaching, learning, studying and social activity.

McLaughlin & Harvey said: "We held the event in the project's largest lecture theatre, a space capable of seating 400 students when completed.

"Our apprentices joined us on-site for breakfast and met Prof Iain Gordon, the future Head of College of Science and Engineering and Gavin Donoghue, Deputy Director of Stakeholder Relations for the University of Edinburgh. The apprentices spoke about their roles covering site management, quantity surveying and civil engineering.
