Clark Contracts have been awarded their 4th President's Award in the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)'s Health and Safety Awards 2019.
To receive the President's Award, Clark Contracts demonstrated excellent occupational health and safety management systems, a rigorous approach to occupational health, a continued high level of performance and compliance with control measures.
Welcoming the news, Gordon Cunningham, Managing Director, Clark Contracts, said: "We are continually improving our health and safety performance and to be recognised by one of the most highly respected occupational awards for a 13th consecutive year reinforces our commitment. We are extremely proud to be receiving our fourth President's Award at this years' ceremony."
Julia Small, RoSPA's head of qualifications, awards and events, said: "The RoSPA Awards have become the key fixture in the health and safety calendar with new sponsors and new awards this year including the Leisure Safety Awards, the Safe@Work Safe@Home Award and the Inspiration Awards. Highly-respected, with almost 2,000 entrants every year, RoSPA award winners benefit from the wide-ranging rewards of improved sector reputation."
RoSPA is the longest-running industry awards scheme in the UK Awards scheme, and involves judges considering entrants' overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement. The majority of awards mark achievement at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels. Gold medals, president's awards, orders of distinction and the Patron's Award are presented to organisations sustaining the high standards of the gold level over consecutive years.
Clark Contracts will be presented with the President's Award during the annual presentation ceremony at Doubletree by Hilton Glasgow Central on Thursday 12th September 2019.
Clark Contracts works throughout the UK, employing over 250 employees and featured at number 72 on the 2018 Sunday Times Best Companies to Work for List and number 21 on the Scottish Regional List of Best Companies to Work For in 2018.
