Artisan Rooftech - Local Experts On Dryseal GRP Flat Roofing System

Construction News Image
Advances in GRP technology have reached the point where high-performance GRP roofing systems can now be used with increased certainty on contemporary new build and roofing upgrade projects.

Hambleside Danelaw's Dryseal system being 'pre-cured' provides an assurance of consistent quality in a way that many membrane and brush-applied systems cannot.

As official installers of Dryseal GRP flat roofing system, Artisan Rooftech cater for the domestic, residential, commercial and industrial sectors along with Insurance and Local Authority work.

They work on new builds, extensions, refurbishment and historic buildings including detail design work to personalise each individual roof. We also offer an Annual Maintenance contract to provide customers a comprehensive report to the current state of their roofs and guttering.

As members of Construction Line, the Scottish Building Federation and Angus Reputable Traders Scheme, Artisan Rooftech are not just approved installers of the Dryseal GRP flat roofing system, but – given their experience and expertise in the product and system – operation the official Drysel training centre in Forfar.

Dryseal is widely specified for projects as varied as Passivhaus designs, leisure centres, listed churches, National Trust and Historic Scotland properties. The attraction for Heritage properties owes much to the fact that Dryseal as a mechanically system fixed can be easily removed without damage to the underlying structure.

Dryseal can be finished to achieve the appearance of aged lead or zinc and provides an ideal solution where there is an ongoing risk of metal theft.

Dryseal is ideally suited to most low pitch or flat roofs substrates and can be installed over an existing roof covering if the existing deck is in good condition. Dryseal can easily accommodate rigid PI insulation as part of a warm roof with a greatly enhanced U-value and can also be fitted under timber decking or slabs as part of balcony waterproofing.

In terms of design life, Dryseal carries our 20-year "leak free" guarantee with an insured warranty and benefits from BBA certification and 'Secured by Design' accreditation; there is no scrap value in Dryseal GRP.

Dryseal can improve the speed and security of installation as 'wet' lamination is limited to sheet overlaps and perimeter, which amounts to under 10% of the overall roof area. The application of a separate liquid top coat enhances UV the protection.

Being robust and non-toxic, Dryseal is ideal for use waterproofing green roofs particularly where 'grey' water harvesting is involved and it also provides an ideal means of gutter lining.
