A new £9 million primary school is scheduled to open next week in Argyll and Bute.
Kirn Primary School has been built by Morrison Construction on the existing site of the original 1881 Victorian building, which has been retained and refurbished.
The two-storey development took 16 months to complete and now replaces the annexes of the old school, providing bright new classrooms, an atrium and library area, sports hall, main office, general purpose room and separate dining hall.
Externally, the new school also contains large play areas, including a multi games area with a synthetic surface, an improved pupil and bus drop-off area, and increased parking.
Cllr Yvonne McNeilly said: "I am absolutely delighted that Kirn Primary has reached completion and that staff and pupils can now begin to settle into their new surroundings and enjoy all the benefits their new school brings."
Cllr Gary Mulvaney added: "The Kirn project is part of an ambitious investment programme in excess of £70million which will also provide new, high quality schools for children in Campbeltown, Oban and Dunoon."
The new school will officially open to pupils for the first time on Thursday, 02 November.
