Work is continuing on a £1 million water mains infrastructure upgrade scheme in Edinburgh.
The project along Saughton Road North is being carried out by Scottish Water and the first phase of work has finished ahead of schedule.
Phase two of the scheme will take place from Broomhall Avenue to the junction of Broomfield Crescent and is expected to take around four weeks to complete. Rolling road closures and diversions will be in place.
Once finished, around 4,000 customers will benefit from upgraded pipes.
Scott Fraser, Scottish Water's Corporate Affairs Regional Manager, said: "The £1m project to ensure customers security of water supply, is part of a wider programme of investment from 2015-20121 which will see £29.5m of infrastructure projects across the city.
"We are continuing to work with affected residents and the local community to minimise the impact and disruption to local businesses during the project. Scottish Water apologises for any inconvenience and thanks affected road users in advance for their patience and understanding."
