Scottish Renewables has announced Claire Mack as it's new Chief Executive.

Ms Mack, who is currently Director of Policy and Place at SCDI, will take over from Niall Stuart who announced his intention to step down earlier this year.

Before joining SCDI, Ms Mack spent 12 years working at Ofcom as Regulatory Affairs Manager in telecoms, radio spectrum and postal services.

Speaking on her appointment, she said: "I am delighted to be leading such a capable and professional team at Scottish Renewables. The role of the sector in driving wider economic growth in Scotland is evident and the opportunity to build on the expertise in innovation already here is very exciting. I'm looking forward to helping to secure the best possible environment for the industry to thrive in."

Patricia Hawthorn, Chairman of Scottish Renewables said: "I am delighted that we have been able to identify such a strong and capable individual to be our next Chief Executive.
