A new playpark is to open in the Scottish Borders.
The facility at Wilton Lodge Park, Hawick has been built as part of the £3.64 million Wilton Lodge Park Regeneration Project.
Once the park is opened on Friday, 17 March, work will begin to remove the old playpark at Volunteer Park.
The scheme will take several weeks to complete and will include reinstatement works. Once completed, the area will be used to provide additional parking for the park and the nearby 2G/3G pitches.
The remaining regeneration scheme works are scheduled to be complete in the summer.
A council spokesperson said: "This destination playpark is one of the largest value items to be delivered as part of the restoration of Wilton Lodge Park and will be a major attraction for Hawick families and visitors from further afield.
"It is great to get the playpark opened to the public ahead of schedule, in advance of the Easter holidays and the start of the wider park event programme. Once the café is completed and a tenant operator in place, the two attractions will help to increase visitor footfall within the park and in Hawick as a whole.
"We are also nearing the completion of the footway/cycleway improvements that will provide a vast improvement for users of the park, while providing an additional attraction to visitors and families."
