Moray Council is seeking residents' views on draft proposals to develop the Dallas Dhu area near Forres.
An eight-week consultation on the draft 'masterplan' has now been launched and a drop-in exhibition on the plan will be held at Forres House Community Centre on Wednesday, 08 March.
Proposals for the site, which shows an indicative capacity of 172 houses, includes;
• A strong frontage onto Mannachie Road punctuated by green wedges
• A central tree-lined spine street providing visual and physical connectivity through the site
• Improved access onto the Dava Way and a permeable network of pedestrian and cycle path connections
• Provision of a range of housing densities and tenures to reflect the edge-of-town location
• Large areas of green space and wetland habitat
The council said: "The vision is to create a new edge to Forres with an attractive high quality transition from urban to rural.
"A landscape-led approach has been used to make the most of the natural features on site, half of which will remain undeveloped."
Comments on the draft plan must be submitted by 5pm on Monday, 27 March.
