amey Black & Veatch (aBV) has started investigations as part of a water network upgrade project in Aberdeen.
The contractor is carrying out trial hole investigations in the Merchant Quarter before a planned sewer improvement project gets underway.
The two-week project is scheduled to begin on Monday, 14 November. Work will take place at the junction of Wapping Street and Rennie's Wynd, and at the junction of Trinity Street and Carmelite Lane.
Diane Burgess, Scottish Water Regional Community Manager for Aberdeen, said: "There have been flooding issues in the Merchant Quarter and we are trying to help reduce this risk with the work we are set to undertake.
"The work has been planned in consultation with Aberdeen City Council and Scottish Water would like to thank locals for their patience and understanding ahead of these works. Our alliance partner aBV will do all they can to minimise any disruption throughout the works."
