The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has awarded £1.8 million towards a regeneration project in Aberdeenshire.
The latest award means all necessary partner funding has been secured in order for work to start on Fraserburgh 2021, a built heritage redevelopment project.
Other contributors include Aberdeenshire Council (£1.4m), Historic Environment Scotland (£1.2m), and the Scottish Government's Regeneration Capital Grant Fund (£600,000), together with expected private owner contributions (£700,000).
Priority schemes include historic properties in Saltoun Square such as the Town House and Police Station, which are both in need of repair.
Grants are also available for private property owners carry out repairs to properties within the town centre Conservation Area. Local heritage projects will also be carried out with local groups including Fraserburgh schools.
Chairman of the council's Infrastructure Services Committee (ISC), David Aitchison, said: "The announcement of the last of the funding to allow this project to go ahead is a great vote of confidence for Fraserburgh businesses and communities.
"This is a significant and very visible project which is an integral part of regeneration plans for the town and I hope local property owners will continue to work with us to bring up the quality of the town centre generally, which should have a positive impact on the Conservation Area and the wider community."
Work is due to begin on Fraserburgh 2021 in August, with work scheduled to run until 2021.
