Work to repair an embankment on the M8 in Paisley is due to be completed later this week, Scotland TranServ has announced.
Specialist geotechnical engineers have been working alongside the roads construction company to develop and implement design solutions for the works at St James' Interchange.
It is understood the embankment was damaged by recent bad weather affecting the area.
Work has been continuing to build a wall and install rockfill to secure the embankment in order prevent further landslips at the location.
Once this is completed, the site will be handed over to Renfrewshire Council who will finish drainage and road repair works.
An offside lane closure will remain in place at St James' Roundabout until local authority works are completed.
Gordon Wilson, Contract Director for Scotland TranServ said: "A team of specialist engineers and operatives have been working continuously on this complex project to complete the repair works to the landslip."
