West Dunbartonshire Councillors are to consider creating new sport facilities across the region.
Plans include developing an all-weather athletics facility, football park and changing rooms at Posties Park in Dumbarton.
Proposals have also been put forward for a new synthetic pitch, pavilion and skate park at Whitecrook in Clydebank.
The £1.65m project at Posties Park is to include a six-lane all-weather athletics track for use by schools and local clubs.
A grass football pitch would be developed in the middle of the track along with purpose built changing facilities.
An option to include a replacement for Marine Craft Weightlifting gym is to also be considered.
The £2.1m scheme at Whitecrook is being developed with Clydebank Sports Hub and includes a synthetic pitch for rugby, Gaelic Football, and football.
The pavilion is to also be upgraded to improve changing and community facilities.
A separate project is being brought forward to create a skate park and community allotments on the site off Dean Street.
A council committee will also consider proposals to enhance parks across the area.
Plans include installing outdoor gym equipment on Dumbarton Common and creating new play areas in Haldane, new Bonhill and Old Kilpatrick.
The work would be funded from the £1.75m Community Capital Fund, which has delivered improvements to a number of outdoor spaces.
Ronnie Dinnie, Head of Neighbourhood Services, said: "Extensive work has been completed to regenerate outdoor areas and increase opportunities for sport and play in West Dunbartonshire while maximizing external funding opportunities. The report being put to the committee presents a summary of the work to date and represents the next phase of work. If approved, it will significantly enhance sporting facilities in our area and further improve parks and play areas."
