Aberdeenshire Council has advised motorists that sewer works are to be carried out along the A93 at the beginning of next month.
As a result, the A93 Crathes to Banchory Road will be subject to traffic management measures. The measures will be in place for a period of 12 weeks. A new sewer is being installed in the area which will serve a new housing development in Crathes.
WM Donald, the contractor for the scheme, will undertake the work in 12-hour shifts, Monday to Saturday, while specialist trenching machines will be used to ensure the work is completed as quickly as possible. Elsewhere, traffic on the road will be controlled by temporary traffic lights or a convoy system, where appropriate.
Philip McKay, Aberdeenshire Council's Head of Roads and Landscape Services, said: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused to road users while this necessary work is being carried out by contractors working on behalf of the developer.
"As always, road users can check our website for regular updates on all road closures in the area as the best source of live information."
