ScottishPower has said it has welcomed more than 100 people to the firm last month through its various training programmes.
In a statement, the company said it welcomed 24 Apprenticeship, 31 Graduate vacancies and 16 school leavers through 'The Year in Industry' programme, while it has also sponsored 42 Engineering Foundation student placements.
ScottishPower is now inviting applications for its 2015 intake, and is looking for Electrical and Mechanical Engineering graduates for its Energy Networks business, as well as Business, Marketing and IT graduates for the Energy Retail aspect of the business.
The two-year initiatives involve on-the-job experience in a number of placements. In addition, the firm is to recruit two groups of Craft Apprentices through its Networks business as part of its 2015 intake.
Sheila Duncan, HR Director at ScottishPower, commented: "This coordinated approach to recruitment and development at varying skill levels really underpins ScottishPower's engagement strategy, by introducing new people to the wider careers available in the energy industry and building a talent pipeline to ensure we have the right people with the right skills to help deliver our future energy solutions."
