The Cairngorms National Park Authority (CNPA) has said it has received the Scottish Government Reporter's recommendations regarding its proposed Local Development Plan (LDP).
A team will now examine the report, which is 432 pages long, before presenting the modifications to the Planning Committee later this year.
Once approval is received, the LDP, its modifications and the supporting materials, will be submitted to Scottish Ministers. From there, it is anticipated that the Plan will be formally adopted by the CNPA in February 2015.
Commenting on the news, Murray Ferguson, Director of Planning and Rural Development at the CNPA, said: "We welcome the Reporter's conclusions and will consider carefully all their recommendations before we take the modifications to the Committee in November.
"The development of the Plan has involved consultation with communities, businesses and interest groups all across the Park and I look forward to its adoption early next year.
"The Plan will play a key part in creating the National Park we all want by getting the right development in the right place, by promoting investment, by protecting and enhancing the natural and cultural environment and by creating places that we will value and enjoy."
