Clyde Windows & Construction Accepted As Which? Trusted Trader

Clyde Windows & Construction Ltd have announced they have been accepted as a Trusted Trader by the Which? magazine group.

The double glazing and construction company is the first such company in Scotland to have achieved the accreditation. The recognition follows a number of checks on the business, including monetary and employment aspects.

More than a year ago, Clyde Windows & Construction applied to become a member of South Lanarkshire Council's 'Buy with Confidence' accreditation scheme. Similar to the Trusted Traders initiative, the company had to undergo a number of processes before they could be accepted. After being granted Buy with Confidence accreditation, the organisation applied for other schemes throughout Scotland, whether it was Trusted Trader or Buy with Confidence. They have met the criteria and been recognised as Trusted Traders for an additional three Councils in Scotland.

Commenting on the accreditation, Dax Duckett, Managing Director of Clyde Windows & Construction, said: "The process to gain accreditation does take a little time and effort from both the business and the Trading Standards officers.

"The checks they undertake are rigorous because they have to be, but ultimately it means they are 100% happy with our company and the way that we do business as there is still a stigma attached to the double glazing industry, due to many unscrupulous selling tactics by many firms, therefore they can recommend us to the general public, who in some cases are elderly or vulnerable and are wary of letting rogue traders into their home.

"This effort from our perspective pays off when we visit potential clients and we can then explain exactly what the scheme is and they can then feel safe in the knowledge that they are dealing with a reputable local company who have been checked out extensively."
