The Scottish Borders Council (SBC) has agreed to oppose plans for a proposed wind farm near Cockburnspath, it has been reported.
The development would be located on the Scottish Borders' boundary with East Lothian, and would consist of 27 turbines in the Aikengall IIa project.
Community Windpower is behind the application.
They have said the initiative could provide enough energy to power more than 70,000 homes. As part of the development, plans would also include the construction of access roads, control room buildings and a 90-metre high wind monitoring mast.
Planning officials had advised the SBC to object to the plans, which have already been opposed by local community councils.
Commenting on its decision, the Council said it did not agree with the proposals, and felt the development would "unacceptably harm" the landscape.
A final decision regarding the wind farm now rests with the Scottish Government, the BBC has said.
