A 14-home development in Ullapool is nearing completion, the Highland Council has said.
Around £1.75m has been invested by the local authority and the Scottish Government into the project.
The investment has transformed the derelict site of a former hotel into 14 new cottage flats.
Ten of the properties will be made available for affordable rent, while four will be shared equity homes to buy as part of the Scottish Government's low cost initiatives for first-time buyers (LIFT) programme.
Councillor George Farlow, Highland Council's Vice Chair for Planning, Environment and Development, said: "I am delighted to see the wonderful progress being made on this new development at the former Four Seasons Hotel, Garve Road, Ullapool, which will see 14 new homes for people in the local community to rent or buy. Increasing the supply of affordable homes is a vital part of our efforts to provide good quality Council housing."
Mark McBride, area director for Morgan Sindall, contractor for the scheme, said: "We are pleased to be working alongside The Highland Council to deliver new accommodation in the area. There is a considerable requirement for more affordable housing in Wester Ross at present, so we are glad to be able to help. We always look to work with local suppliers in the areas in which we work and will continue to do so with this project."
