Up to one million sq ft of land has been released by those behind the ambitious transformation project of Dundee Waterfront.
The land is located around four sites and is for mixed-use development in the Central Waterfront area. It is understood an additional 500,000 sq ft will be released across two sites in early 2016.
Plans for the £1bn waterfront transformation include a new train station, a £45m branch of the V&A museum and a commercial and leisure marina, but the team are also looking for a mix of office, leisure, retail and hospitality developments, along with ground floor units such as cafés, bars and restaurants for the land.
Mike Galloway, Director of City Development with Dundee City Council, said: "The level of interest in Dundee Waterfront is very encouraging, and prompted us to make the sites available ahead of schedule.
"The growth in leisure and tourism spend alone will generate very attractive opportunities for hospitality, visitor attraction and support sectors such as transport and catering. The release of this land will broaden the range of development choices and will we hope be well received by the business community."
