Inverclyde Council has issued a statement announcing it is to release a number of new self-build plots in the Kilmacolm area.
The move is part of a £1m re-population plan by the local authority which aims to encourage more people to move into the area. The area, which is highly sought-after, is located on the Firth of Clyde, around 20 minutes from Glasgow Airport off the M8.
The plots in Leperstone Avenue, Kilmacolm, will be the first release by the council as part of its Inverclyde Living campaign. In addition to the above, the council has also said it is to offer a number of incentives to its new residents, including opportunities for council tax discounts for the first two years, as well as the services of a relocation officer to assist with finding a home and accessing local services and properties. As part of the Inverclyde Living scheme, the council is also investing additional support for business development and graduates.
Inverclyde Living will be at the Scottish Ideal Home Show, Stand H407, at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) in Glasgow, which takes place from Friday 23 to Monday 26 May.
