The Forestry Commission has confirmed that the visitor centre at Glenmore in the Cairngorms National Park is to reopen this week.
It follows a refurbishment programme on the centre. The work will now ensure tourists and visitors to the site will get the most out of their visit.
The centre will open on Wednesday (16 April).
Duncan Bryden, Convener of the Cairngorms National Park Authority, said: "We are delighted to support this great investment in the Park by the Commission and it's fair to say that they have gone back to basics at Glenmore – but in a good way.
"The existing building looks almost unchanged from the outside, but much better use has been made of the available space inside.
"There is now a larger café area but the real focus has been on improving and re-equipping the centre so visitors can easily learn more about enjoying this very special place. Covering Glenmore and its forest, the local area and the wider Cairngorms National Park, it really provides an excellent overview of the wide range of activities, locations and resources on offer."
