Scotland’s annual Empty Homes Conference is to focus on how to bring empty homes back into use.
The event is due to take place on Tuesday 26 November at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow.
Currently, there are just over 23,000 long-term private sector empty homes in Scotland, according to homeless charity Shelter Scotland.
The event will look at practical tips on how these properties can be best brought back to life.
It will bring together a host of housing experts, partner organisations and empty homes professionals, with guest speakers including Margaret Burgess MSP.
Graeme Brown, Director for Shelter Scotland, said: "There are thousands of empty homes in Scotland and bringing them back to good use can provide local affordable housing and help regenerate local communities. It won’t solve the housing crisis on its own, but it makes sense not to waste the empty homes we already have.
"The event will also showcase the innovative projects which have been nominated for the Camelot Scottish Empty Property Champion of the Year Awards. These schemes really make a difference to the empty homes agenda."
