Moray residents will get a chance to have their say on how settlements and communities should grow in the region, through a series of drop-in events organised by the council.
The sessions are part of Moray Council’s Local Development Plan main issues report and will be held at various locations across Moray, beginning at Buckie on January 14 and finishing at Aberlour on January 29.
The council intends to provide an overview of the Local Development Plan process and offer discussions on some of the main issues facing Moray.
Residents will also be provided with details on the options for development sites for housing, employment and other land uses.
Moray Council says the Local Development Plan will "guide development, encourage investment and will be a catalyst for change."
The sessions follow a report released in November as part of the first stage in the preparation of the new Local Development Plan for Moray.
Views and comments are being sought from communities and other interested parties on how the main issues should be addressed and how settlements should grow in the future.
Responses are due by February 15 and can be submitted online.
The drop-in exhibitions will take place from 15:00 to 20:00 at Buckie Townhouse West on Monday, January 14; the Fochabers Institute on Tuesday, January 15; Lossiemouth Town Hall on Wednesday, January 16; the Mortlach Memorial Hall in Dufftown on Thursday, January 17; Forres Town Hall on Tuesday, January 22; Elgin library on Wednesday, January 23; the Longmore Hall in Keith on Thursday, January 24 and the Fleming Hall in Aberlour on Tuesday, January 29.
