36 homes have been built for social rent on a site acquired using funds from the Scottish Government.
Link Group has completed construction of the homes at Gibb Street, Darroch Crescent and Gowan Place in Chapelhall.
Building the homes cost £4m and the Scottish Government invested more than £1.9m for the site.
Designed by Robert Potter & Partners Architects and built by CCG, the properties meet Link's design standards for affordable housing.
The properties consist of 16 two bedroom flats, 19 two and three bedroom houses and one house specifically designed to meet the needs of a wheelchair user. The new homes also benefit from solar thermal panels which heat domestic water which in turn helps to keep costs down for the tenants who live there.
The development was completed ahead of schedule and within approved costs, with 50% of the properties being allocated to applicants from the North Lanarkshire Council housing lists.
Councillor Sam Love, Convener of North Lanarkshire Council's Housing and Social Work Services Committee said: "This project is an excellent example of how agencies can work together to deliver modern homes for local communities. And, together with the council's own plans for more new build homes in North Lanarkshire, we're improving communities and providing housing choice.
Housing Minister Keith Brown said new affordable housing benefited communities and the economy.
He said: "Everyone in Scotland should live in safe affordable homes that not only meet their needs, but support the development of sustainable communities."
