A steel frame has been erected for a supermarket in a Highlands village.
The site on Knockbreck Road in Tain was the site of some fooling around, as this photograph attests, while construction workers marked the milestone.
They were contributing to the village’s new Asda store, due to open later this year.
The 20,000 sq ft food retailer and petrol station will create up to 220 new full and part time jobs for local people.
The development, which will include comprehensive car parking and cycling facilities, represents "a major long-term boost to the local economy", an Asda spokesperson said.
Asda will also be investing in the local bus network to ensure adequate provisions are made for travel to the store at Knockbreck Road.
Lisa Rooke, Asda's Property Communications Manager for Scotland, said: "We are delighted to be putting up the steel frame for this long awaited store in Tain. Our proposals are delivering a significant investment in the community. We believe that the new store will provide consumers with an improved choice of where to carry out their supermarket shopping, as well as bringing Asda's quality products and famous low prices to the area and we would like to thank the community, once again, for their continued support of this project."
