Aberdeen City Council is set to host a key stage of the consultation into Aberdeen Airport's draft Master Plan 2012.
Airport management team members will be at the new Marischal College reception on Wednesday 02 May, between 10am and 3pm, to showcase the draft plan and seek the public's views.
Members of the public, along with any council staff and elected members, are invited to attend the drop-in session, during which they can find out more about the development plans and have their say.
More than 1,000 copies of the draft plan were downloaded from www.aberdeenairport.com/masterplan in the first week of launch alone – reflecting the interest from across the area.
Derek Provan, managing director of Aberdeen Airport, said: "Aberdeen Airport is a major economic generator for the North-east and it is vital that we have in place a development framework that allows the airport to compete more effectively and attract new business, in what is an intensely competitive aviation market.
"In doing so, we also need to take into account the impact of a growing airport on the local community, and the Master Plan consultation is key to this. Over the coming weeks, we will be visiting communities across the North-east to share our vision with local residents and to hear their hopes and concerns about future growth. We would encourage anyone with an interest in their local airport to take part in the public consultation."
