Road and ramp changes at the Tay Road Bridge are set to mark the latest developments in the multi-million pound transformation of Dundee's waterfront.
New routes for getting on and off the bridge will be provided along with a new westbound carriageway under the Tay Road Bridge.
The changes are to be delivered in a three-stage process.
A new westbound off-ramp from the road bridge will be opened on Friday, with a new signalised junction to take traffic to the Riverside Roundabout.
A new westbound carriageway will open on the South Marketgait from Customs House onwards, which will see the route now go under the Tay Road Bridge towards the Riverside Roundabout.
Further stages in the process involve further development of the new off-ramp for both west and eastbound traffic into Dundee, with associated signalised junctions.
There will also be a change to the bridge on-ramp for east bound traffic in late October as part of the project to demolish Tayside House.
This latest project is costing £5.5 million and is funded by Dundee City Council, Scottish Enterprise and the Scottish Government.
Chair of the Waterfront Board Cllr Ken Guild said: "People are beginning to see for themselves the new waterfront truly taking shape.
"Significant progress is being made now on delivering the vision, not only earlier than scheduled but also under budget.
"As developers and investors see the substantial steps that are being taken, with most of the development sites now cleared, the waterfront area is attracting significant interest with further investment to come."
Further work on the waterfront is due to start in the New Year.
