Three small businesses have taken up residence in the new fully refurbished business incubator suites at the Dunfermline Business Centre, with some taking more than one unit each.
The Dunfermline Business Centre has just been revamped to provide two medium sized office units and a suite of seven individual offices for start-up firms.
The refurbishment includes a new reception area and shower facilities have also been fitted. The new incubation units have proved extremely popular with all seven of the new units already let. Dunfermline seems to be bucking the economic trend and experiencing a healthy creation of small businesses.
One of the new tenants, June Wood, runs Holistic Health Care. This is a private practice established in 1994 offering natural therapies to restore good health, manage health conditions and prevent poor health on all levels.
June has taken 2 units one as an office and the other as a treatment room. June said: “It feels right bringing healing back to the place as it was originally a hospital. Having a receptionist to greet and seat clients is a great bonus. The foyer is bright and welcoming and a meeting room on site is another bonus. I have already used this facility for my Reiki group which is a regular event.”
Liz Reid from Soul-2-Sole has just moved into the one of the new suites. Soul-2-Sole offer a wide range of complementary therapies, Reiki training and Firewalk instruction. Liz commented: “The facilities at Dunfermline Business Centre are superb and excellent value for money. There are welcoming and friendly receptionist’s onsite during core hours, 24 hour access, disabled access, free parking with many disabled bays and it is on a bus route. Disabled access is a welcoming aspect for me as it will enable me to treat my wheelchair bound clients in the centre.”
Councillor Tony Martin, Strategic Chair of the Environment, Enterprise and Transportation Committee attended the official opening ceremony at the Business Centre today. He commented: “Fife Council aims to provide flexible business space that meets the variety of demand in the business sector. These new small office spaces have certainly met the needs of local business in Dunfermline, and the two medium sized units are still available to support any growing businesses in need of extra space.”
