Residents, community groups, businesses and other stakeholders are being encouraged to help shape Argyll and Bute's future by reviewing and commenting on the newest evidence papers that will inform the area's next Local Development Plan (LDP3).

Argyll and Bute Council is preparing an Evidence Report, a key stage in developing LDP3. This report brings together data, research and local knowledge to underpin future planning policies and decisions across the area.

The Evidence Report is organised into topic papers. Following engagement earlier this year on the first five papers, the Council is now seeking views on the completeness and accuracy of the latest papers covering:

- Infrastructure – Health, Waste, Energy and Education

- Biodiversity

- Landscape

- Economy, Culture, Creativity and Community Wealth Building

- Local Living and Design, Quality and Place

Feedback will help ensure the evidence base is robust to support LDP3. In essence, the Evidence Report will guide what to plan for before the proposed LDP3 considers where development should occur.

The engagement period runs from 20 July until 31 August.
