A regeneration project by North Ayrshire Council's Economic Development service is helping breathe new life into the town of Dalry.
A range of works to buildings, car parks, open spaces and focal points, including the Biggart Fountain, are helping improve the appearance of the town centre.
Over the past three years, Economic Development has delivered a wide range of initiatives in the area designed to:
* Inspire local people to take pride in Dalry
* Encourage residents and visitors to shop in the town
* Help local businesses to thrive
* Create a safe and friendly environment in which to live and work.
The regeneration has focused on the vision of restoring The Cross to its role as a traditional town centre meeting and socialising area. Dalry has a good selection of traditional and modern shops which offer a friendly, personal service that larger towns cannot match.
Leader of the Council, Councillor David O'Neill said: "The improvements to Dalry's parking and lighting, upgrades to local landmarks and the installation of CCTV will have significant benefits for local residents. I hope that everyone starts taking a fresh look at the town centre and the things it has to offer."
