A meeting of Monifieth Community Council will be held to discuss the enhancements for the town centre.
The meeting, which will be open to the public, is to be held on Wednesday 13 January at 7pm in the Burgh Chambers, High Street, Monifieth.
Officers from Angus Council will attend to describe the project options.
The council recently approved a £300,000 package of enhancements to the town centre in Monifieth.
A further £10,000 has been approved for the installation of signage and promotional leaflets for the recently established Monifieth Path Network.
The council approved work will include the widening of the footways at various points along the High Street and the creation of landscaped seating areas; the create of a form of boundary along the south side of the street to separate the street from the spaces to the south; the relocation of the existing pedestrian crossing towards the Union Street/High Street junction; the installation of new signals at the Reform Street/High Street junction; the creation of a pedestrian refuge island at the Tesco entrance and the installation of a suite of co-ordinated street furniture.
The work is subject to the conclusion of legal agreements with the relevant landowners.
The council also agreed that the community council and local partnership should be involved in the final selection of the street furniture to be installed and the Monifieth History Society is to be invited to assist with the interpretation of the history of the burgh.
