Gensource, the Musselburgh-based sustainable energy specialist, is to exhibit at this year's Royal Highland Show for the first time.
Scotland's premier annual event showcasing the best of food, farming and rural life begins at Ingliston, Edinburgh on Thursday and runs until Sunday.
Members of the Gensource team will be on hand throughout providing both technical and commercial insights as the firm showcases its range of renewable energy and EV charging solutions tailored to rural and commercial sites.
Staff will be providing early‑stage guidance on project feasibility for solar, battery and EV charging, and will also be on hand with advice on available funding and support mechanisms such as the Rural and Island Infrastructure fund which supports the public EV charging infrastructure.
They will also demonstrate how energy infrastructure can support diversification, particularly in areas like agri‑tourism.
Gensource co-founder and commercial director Robert Wilson said: "We are very much looking forward to exhibiting at the Royal Highland Show for the first time. We have attended smaller agricultural shows in Fife and East Lothian but this is a major fixture on the rural event calendar in Scotland and we are excited to be part of it.
"We will have engineers and delivery specialists on hand along with team members with experience working on rural and estate‑based projects.
"It will be great to engage directly with landowners, estates and businesses to explore how on‑site energy generation and infrastructure can help reduce costs, improve sustainability and future‑proof operations.
"It is going to be an opportunity to provide direct, face‑to‑face advice to businesses that may not otherwise engage with the sector and will help us raise awareness of practical, commercially viable energy solutions."
Gensource was recently shortlisted for SME of the Year at the Midlothian & East Lothian Chamber of Commerce (MELCC) Business Awards, while last month also saw it expand its residential home energy delivery with the acquisition of Perth-based Solar Kingdom.
