Robertson Partnership Homes has started work on a £2.7 million housing development in North Lanarkshire.
A total of 20 new homes are being built at Innerleithen Drive, Walkerburn Drive and North Kilmeny Crescent in Coltness.
The scheme forms part of the council's NL Homes programme, which aims to build over 2,000 new homes.
Speaking at the sod cutting event, Stewart Shearer, Managing Director, Robertson Partnership Homes, said: With construction work now underway at Coltness, people across North Lanarkshire can begin to look forward to new affordable homes of the highest quality.
"Over the course of the next six months, we will deliver 20 homes at the site - engaging with the local communities throughout and transforming the affordable housing sector across the region."
Cllr Barry McCulloch added: "NL Homes supports our vision to provide affordable, good quality homes within safe and sustainable communities for the people of North Lanarkshire."
