CCG (Scotland) will build the development on behalf of Lowther, part of the Wheatley Group.

Laura Henderson, managing director of Lowther, said: "We are delighted to have received approval for our plan to transform this empty land.

"As the wider area transforms into a bustling, modern neighbourhood, we are excited to provide much-needed mid-market housing in a fantastic part of the city."
