FTI Consulting, Inc. has announced the opening of its new dedicated Construction, Projects & Assets practice in Glasgow city centre, located on West Regent Street.
This move signifies a continued investment in the firm's built environment capabilities within the UK, as it relocates its Scottish operations from Stirling to Glasgow.
Manoj Bahl, Head of the UK and Ireland Construction, Projects & Assets practice at FTI Consulting, commented on the expansion: "The opening of our Glasgow office has given our Scottish team a real boost, and it sets the stage for our long-term growth journey — one that my colleagues Michael Neill and Graeme Conway will play a key role as they continue to lead the office. It also shows our commitment to our clients and to Scotland's construction and infrastructure market. This sector plays a vital role in supporting the local economy and shaping communities. From our new home in Glasgow, we're excited to further expand our capabilities, respond to the needs of the local market and help both new and long-standing clients achieve their goals."
The establishment of the Glasgow office builds upon FTI Consulting's 16-year presence in Stirling, where it has provided multidisciplinary construction and infrastructure-related solutions to a diverse client base including project owners, developers, lenders, contractors, and their legal advisors.
The Glasgow team will offer expert-led advice and support on both contentious and non-contentious construction issues. This includes the valuation of defects, dispute resolution, and assessing the financial impact of delays or disruptions. Additionally, they will advise on various types of construction contracts, effective record-keeping, and strategies for dispute avoidance.
With extensive sector knowledge spanning construction, energy and renewables, transportation, urban development, utilities, and commercial property, the Construction, Projects & Assets team supports clients throughout every stage of an asset's lifecycle. FTI Consulting has a track record of working on prominent buildings in Glasgow's skyline, as well as key infrastructure projects integral to Scotland's cultural and economic landscape.
Earlier this year, the firm bolstered its construction delay and disputes capabilities in Scotland with the appointments of Senior Director Christopher Martin and Director David Mark.
