Morrison Construction has celebrated a successful night at the Scottish Property Awards, picking up prizes in three different categories.
Morrison Construction Building Central's National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) project, built on behalf of University of Strathclyde and designed by HLM Architects, claimed two awards, winning in the Architectural Excellence (Public Use) and Large Development of the Year (Public Buildings) categories.
The much-lauded £42m research and development facility, has previously won awards at the Building Awards, the Glasgow Institute of Architects Awards, the Herald Property Awards and the Structural Timber Awards.
In addition, the Beatlie School Campus, delivered by Morrison Construction for West Lothian Council, through Hub South East Scotland, was a winner in the Small Development of the Year (Public Buildings) category. The £15m project created a new home for the school, which accommodates children from three to 18 with severe and complex support and profound medical needs.
David Ewing, Managing Director of Morrison Construction Building Central, commented: "We are delighted that both these fantastic schemes have been recognised in this way. Being able to deliver a world-class research space for University of Strathclyde, and a high-quality educational facility for the students and staff at Beatlie demonstrates the versatility and dedication of our teams and I congratulate them all on these deserved accolades."
