SPOA President's Summer Barbeque Returns For 2022

Construction News Image
Following the success of The Scottish Plant Owners Association (SPOA)’s inaugural President's Summer Barbecue in 2021, the event is to return to Edinburgh this August.

Everyone from industry stalwarts to new apprentices, whether they are SPOA members or not, are invited to attend the event at the prestigious Glasshouse Hotel in Edinburgh on 19th August 2022.

SPOA President Callum Mackintosh is the host for the evening, with entertainment provided by acclaimed Scottish band Trail West. Held on the Glasshouse Hotel’s stunning two-acre rooftop garden, those attending will enjoy a barbecue feast and drinks into the early hours with industry colleagues from across the country.

Speaking about the event, SPOA President Callum Mackintosh said: "Our inaugural Summer Barbecue was a massive success last year, providing an opportunity for our plant community to meet, network and just enjoy some downtime. I can't wait to do it all over again, this time even bigger and better!

"The event is expected to be a sell-out, so I'd encourage everyone in the plant industry to get their tickets and join us for a fantastic evening."

50 per cent of any surplus raised will be donated to SPOA's charity, the Aitken White Trust, which supports education within the industry.
