The hearing is a formal process which allows those who have already submitted valid representations, as well as the applicant and consultees, to discuss their views before a decision is made.
The application is question involves a mixed-use development, including residential dwellings, a health centre, employment uses and the creation of a Deeside Way hub, as well as an extension to the Deeside Way, re-alignment and improvement to the B974, cycle paths and associated landscaping, plus open space and ancillary works. The plans were submitted to the council in January of this year.

The local authority has said the hearing will take place in the gym hall at Hill of Banchory Primary School, Banchory, on Monday 20 April at 7pm. A site visit will be held at 6pm and interested parties are invited to attend.
While the application will be discussed at the event, no decision will be made at the hearing. Rather, a note will go towards the Marr Area Committee in May where it will be discussed, and a report will then be presented to the full council on 18 June when a decision is expected to be made.
The deadline for submitting a valid request to speak at the hearing is Friday 17 April 2015.
