SGN has welcomed the news that it has been shortlisted in five categories in the annual IGEM Gas Industry Awards.
The prestigious awards, organised by the Institution of Gas Engineers & Managers (IGEM) and the Energy & Utilities Alliance (EUA), have been honouring excellence in the gas sector for over 25 years.
Among the finalists is the LTS Futures team in the Net Zero Innovation Award category, embodying SGN's dedication to driving sustainable solutions in the gas industry. This recognition underscores SGN's ongoing efforts to pave the way towards a greener future.
On receiving the news, LTS Futures Project Director Nancy Thomson said: "I'm incredibly proud that our team is being recognised for all of their hard work. We are playing a critical role in the industry, power, and transport transition to net-zero by delivering world first projects in the UK.
SGN's Apprenticeship Scheme has been acknowledged in the Investment in People Award category, reflecting their investment in nurturing talent and providing opportunities for growth within the organisation.
Hannah Moseley-Brown, our Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Advisor Apprentice, was "overwhelmed and humbled" when she learned she has been shortlisted in the Early Career Achievement Award category. The positive safety changes Hannah has made since joining SGN 18 months ago are nothing short of extraordinary.
She said: "It's been phenomenal to influence the improvement of female PPE at SGN. We already have five women who were able to continue in their roles due to this change, and I am so proud to be a part of that!"
SGN's Customer Experience Manager Polly Heyburn has received well deserved recognition in the Customer Service Award category. This nomination acknowledges her relentless focus on delivering exceptional service and enhancing customer satisfaction across the network.
Both Hannah and Polly will be amongst SGN's people in attendance at the award ceremony on Thursday 9 May at InterContinental London Park Lane.
