The Scottish Construction Centre (SCC) is to host a demonstration project event in Dundee on 16 March 2010 in association with the Tayside Construction Forum (TCF).
The event will present two projects and is part of the SCC’s demonstration project programme which seeks to showcase projects which demonstrate innovation or exceptional performance.
The first project, Enkelt Simple Living, will be introduced by Pol Stewart of Ballyconnelly
Construction Ltd, an innovative construction company based in Greenock, Scotland. Enkelt strives to produce contemporary homes of the highest level of energy efficiency, with a pilot of four family homes already created in Dunoon.
Derek Mitchell will then present the Hydrogen Office project which highlights the role that energy efficiency, renewables and hydrogen can play in reducing the future impact of climate change and energy security of supply concerns. The project will develop a 1200sqm energy efficient office building in Methil (Fife) to house the Hydrogen Office Demonstration Centre, an incubation centre for small businesses, and flexible office accommodation.
The event is designed for CEOs, operations directors and managers, project managers, housing officers, clients, construction managers, maintenance managers and sustainability consultants.
