ESS Ecology, established in 1995, provides bespoke and fully integrated ecological services for marine, terrestrial and freshwater species and habitats. As a small ecological consultancy we are able to provide a high quality, personal service which is fully tailored to meet your individual needs.

As a leading provider of high quality ecological project management services since 1995 ESS Ecology operates throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland and in offshore territorial waters throughout the world.

ESS Ecology has focussed on the renewable energy sector and has proved to be highly successful, particularly in the offshore market. This extensive experience has been built upon thorough Scoping, Seabird and Marine Mammal Surveys and Assessments, Terrestrial and Freshwater Ecology Surveys, Data Analysis and Presentation, Ecological Impact Assessments, Cumulative and Appropriate Assessments following the current guidelines as set out by COWRIE (Collaborative Offshore Wind Research Into The Environment), government and the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (IEEM). For offshore developers we offer Statistical Change Analyses and Monitoring Studies with our partners BioSS in fulfilment of operational licence conditions.
