Work recently started on the £200,000 project to replace windows at Brandon Court in Motherwell.
Exactly 69 of the 106 flats on the west and south sides of the block, which have been most affected by water damage, will have all windows replaced.
Councillor Barry McCulloch, Convener of Housing and Social Work Services, said: "As some of these flats also have windows on the other sides of the building, those are being replaced at this time to minimise disruption.
"The work is taking place ahead of the major overcladding and roofing project, which will start early next year."
The window replacement is being carried out by Walker Profiles and is due to be completed early in October.
